What is Focus Mode in Zoom?
The purpose of Focus Mode Zoom is to prevent any distractions in the meeting for participants or students studying online. When Focus Mode is enabled in a meeting, participants can only view videos for the meeting organizer (host) and co-hosts (co-hosts), not other participants. But what stands out the most is that the meeting organizer and co-host can still see everyone’s videos.

In a learning environment, teachers can use Focus Mode to prevent students from interfering with each other. Students can only see teacher videos, while teachers can see all students and supervise them. This is very useful when you want students to only focus on the task at hand.
Meeting attendees can still view their own videos, videos of the meeting organizer and co-hosts, as well as videos for each participant the host chooses to highlight. For all other participants, they can only see their names and reactions. Focus Mode only hides the video for other participants and they can still hear it when they turn on the sound.
Apart from video, Focus Mode also extends to screen sharing. While the host can see the content of all participants’ screens when they share it, participants can only view the content of their own screens. The host can switch between screens with each participant. And also make screen sharing of certain participants available to everyone if they want.
