Play song that you want to share, tap ithree dots
vertical in the upper right corner, and select ‘Share‘.
From the Share popup that appears now, tap on Instagram. App will automatically generate story with song album art. After that, tap the button ‘Your story‘ to share the song. Your followers can then press the ‘ buttonPlay on Spotify‘ to listen to the song you just shared from their phone’s Spotify app.
How to Share Songs to Instagram Stories from Apple Music
Following in the footsteps of Spotify, Apple Music recently added a feature to allow users to share songs on Instagram Stories. If you are an Apple Music user, you can access sharing settings by tapping
three-dot menu next to the song title and artist name. From the pop-up that appears now, tap on the option ‘Share song‘.
Here, select ‘Instagram Stories‘ from the list of available options. Now you can add the song to your Instagram Story. While Apple Music is late to the party, its implementation stands out. When you view a story that shares a song from Apple Music, you will see a beautiful wave effect in the background, which enhances the aesthetic. This way, you can easily share the top 25 most played songs for your Instagram followers.
How to Share Songs to Instagram Stories from TIDAL
TIDAL, audiophiles’ favorite music streaming service, has also got Instagram Story sharing integration. To get started, tap
three-dot menu vertical in the lower right corner. Once a pop-up appears with a series of options, select ‘Share‘.
As soon as you select Share, TIDAL prompts you to specify the target platform. As you can see below, the first option on the Share page is Instagram Stories. Tap on it and wait for the app to direct you to Instagram.
How to Share Songs to Instagram Stories from SoundCloud
As far as sharing songs from SoundCloud is concerned, the method is much easier, thanks to the presence of the Share button right in the music player interface. All you have to do is tap on it and select ‘Story‘ with the Instagram logo on it.
The next process is quite simple. SoundCloud will take you to the Instagram story add page and you can tap to add the song to your story. The last story has a neat blur with the SoundCloud logo and looks pretty good.
How to Share Songs to Instagram Stories from Shazam
Although Shazam is not technically a music streaming service, millions of people around the world use the app to identify songs. If you are excited after finding an interesting song using Shazam, you can share it with your Instagram followers directly from Shazam. To do so, go to the Shazam song page, tap the vertical three-dot menu, and select ‘Share‘.
From the Share sheet, see ‘Shazam – Instagram Stories‘. Keep in mind that this option will have the Shazam logo and not the Instagram logo. Once you find it, tap it, and share the story on Instagram.
How to Share Songs to Instagram Stories from Pandora
In September 2019, Pandora added the ability to share songs to its app. To use the feature, open the app, and play one of your favorite songs. In the music player interface, tap on the horizontal three-dot menu next to the song title and select Share. From the share sheet, select Instagram Stories. You can preview the resulting story in the image below.

Deezer is another music streaming service that has the option to share songs to Instagram Stories. You can tap on the horizontal three-dot menu next to the song and select ‘Share to Instagram Stories‘ to start.
One of the unique aspects of Deezer taking Instagram stories is the fact that you can share up to 5 lines of lyrics in the story. This can come in handy at times when you want to put extra emphasis on a certain part of the song.
