Android App to Set Auto Reply for Everything (Auto Reply)

By | April 4, 2022

Your always-connected smartphone ensures you stay updated with every new message and notification. But there are instances when you can’t keep up with the flood of warnings, which leaves others waiting for an answer. This can happen when you are stuck in a long meeting, on a flight, or just busy.

Luckily, with the right app, your phone may now automatically reply to that stream of incoming notifications so one doesn’t have to wonder. Here are every app you need to set up automatic replies for calls, texts, and emails on Android.

IM Auto Reply

IM Auto Reply allows you to configure replies for most instant messaging services. That includes WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and more. The app does this by reading incoming notifications and using the quick reply feature.

You can enable this for all apps, or just for the ones you want to manage when you’re away. If you like, you can also enable it only for certain contacts if you don’t want to respond to everyone.

Apart from allowing you to save custom responses, IM Auto Reply also has the ability to reply with various messages by contact or contact group. You can even specify whether you want to get back to someone once or every time they ping you. In addition, there are options for triggers. This allows you to set a personalized response based on what others have posted.

Away is another app for replying to notifications from instant messaging services like WhatsApp. Similar to IM Auto Reply, but a few extra features make it stand out.

In particular, Away has some additional tools specifically for WhatsApp if you use the service for business. For example, it lets you easily send messages to people you don’t have in your contacts on WhatsApp. Plus, if you need to for some reason, Away also has the ability to automatically save everyone’s WhatsApp Status posts.

This app has some pro features to set up auto response, which you won’t find in Auto Answer IM. With Away, you can configure a schedule for when your app will go live. So if there’s a regular time when you’re offline or in a meeting, you can turn on Away automatically during that period.

What’s more, you can even have a delay between automatic replies to contacts if you know they are distributing their messages into separate texts. Away is compatible with most IM apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Instagram and more. While Away is great, make sure you know the best WhatsApp built-in features as well.

Automatic SMS

Neither Auto Reply nor Remote IM includes missed calls or SMS messages. For them, try Automatic SMS.

Automatic SMS is designed to respond to SMS texts or phone calls while you are away. All you need to do is set the list of contacts you want to update when they try to get in touch, add responses, save.

You can also schedule Automatic SMS to be turned on. It offers a plethora of personalization options if you wish to configure certain settings. Additionally, you can set up multiple profiles to configure automatic replies for more than one scenario, such as when you’re at the gym or a work meeting.

While Automatic SMS packs every feature you could possibly need to customize an auto-reply, the interface is a bit cumbersome and confusing. If you’re having trouble dealing with this, we recommend switching to another app called TextAssured.

TextAssured is a multipurpose app for setting up automatic replies. It works with instant messaging services, SMS texts, and even phone calls. Plus, it comes with a number of features that this app doesn’t have, such as the ability to reply with attachments.

Furthermore, you can enable TextAssured automatically when you are in the vicinity of certain locations, such as your gym or when you are driving. Like everyone else, you can schedule it by time, and configure it to only reply to a group of contacts, not everyone.

Vacation Responder for Email

For emails, you don’t need a third-party app to use automatic replies. Email platforms like Gmail and Outlook all offer out of office responders. You can set this before a period of time during which you cannot attend emails in person.

To enable it in Gmail, run the Android app. Pull out the left navigation drawer by swiping right or tapping the hamburger icon. Now, go to Settings and select the email account for which you want to enable automatic replies.

Scroll down until you find the Vacation responder (it’s Out of Office AutoReply instead in some regions). Tap it, then set the duration, subject, and message of Hit Done to save it. You can also choose to only send responses to the email address in your contacts if you prefer.
